Description:

This is a rare opportunity to spend a week in Southeastern Oregon, looking at both the birds and natural wonders of this remarkable area. This camp will see the world renowned Malheur Wildlife Bird Refuge, Steens Mountain, the Alvord Desert, Fields Oasis, Crack-in-the Ground, and Fort Rock.  First time visitors often add 5-10 birds to their life-lists and enjoy some of the “ruggedest” scenery in Oregon.  The camp dean and resident theologian-spiritual guide will be Rev. Jim Monroe.  All meals and housing will be provided, including a special dinner out at Frenchglen.  You need only bring binoculars and the usual “camp stuff”!  Tweed hats are optional.  Starts and ends at Suttle Lake Camp.
