Winter Youth Retreats at Suttle Lake:

Come away to the mountains to enjoy the gifts of winter!  Outdoor recreation, warm fires, hot cocoa, games, and music are combined with great Christian fellowship at Suttle Lake’s Winter Youth Retreat. 

The weekend’s program is designed to offer Christian fellowship and spiritual growth opportunities to youth 6th – 12th grade.  Registration for this event is by groups.  Keynote speaker, Rev. Jeff Lowery, will provide the spiritual context for the weekend as he challenges us to celebrate God’s amazing love and ask, “What’s it Worth?”  Romans 8:31-39 will guide our conversation as we celebrate our relationship with God and our call to share Christ’s love with others in very real ways.  Jeff Lowery is a gifted speaker and musician, and will be incorporating music and active learning into his message. 

Fun games, meaningful worship, lively music, and delicious meals help set the stage to celebrate Christian fellowship with other youth groups.  Individual church groups explore scriptures and the weekend’s theme during small group time together, allowing you to build stronger relationships with others from your own church.  Churches can choose to have Middle School and High School youth housed together or separately depending on how many adult leaders come with the group.  Adult and youth leaders are welcomed in the planning and leadership of the weekend.  Please let us know if you or your group is interested in helping with music or activity leadership.  Contact Jane Petke at Suttle Lake for more information (541-595-6663 or suttle@gocamping.org).

With the growing popularity of this event, 2 dates are offered for groups to pick from:

Youth Retreat I
Dates:  January 13-16, 2012, MLK Weekend*(1pm Saturday – 11am Monday)
Fees: $80 per youth, $55 per adult
*Extend the fun by adding Friday night too!  If your group is interested in a ski trip, this may be the perfect time to enjoy Hoodoo’s downhill ski area, just 9 miles from camp.  Friday night or Saturday morning would offer affordable ski options without missing any of the fun at camp. 
($35 = Friday night lodging w/breakfast and sack lunch for Saturday)
