Camp Registrar *Note: Mail-in Registration Form requires Adobe Reader, which can be downloaded for free here. |
In our new computer registration system you will create a log-in account for you and your family that can be used for future events without having to put the same information in year after year for each person in your family! You will want to keep your log-in name and password handy for future registrations, but you will be able to retrieve it later if you lose it. Next time you want to register someone in your family, you can update your information or just confirm that the information has not changed. A few notes:
- When you first begin the registration process, you can narrow the search by selecting 1, 2 or more sites (Like ALCollins, Camp Magruder or Sawtooth Camp). If you don’t select any sites... you get to see everything.
- We are collecting birthdates for everyone... not because we need to know how old adults are, but the registration system will sort out and show you the events that you are eligible for by age and gender. (So as an adult you don’t have to sort through all the child/youth events... and parents don’t need to sort through all the events that are too young or too old for their child.) Because family events are for all ages... EVERYONE gets to see these events!
- If you have more than one family member to register, there will be an option to add more persons ... and the nice thing is that it will remember many of the fields to minimize your work!
- You will have the option of setting up an automatic payment plan to pay in installments if this will help ease the financial stress.
- If you do not pay the minimum deposit required at the time of registration (for those events that have a minimum deposit) then the participant will not be “registered” until such time as the minimum deposit is rec’d. The registration will be saved and placed in a pending status, but if the event should fill before the deposit is paid, the camper will be placed on a wait list.

Payment Plan / Installments
If it is hard to pay for the cost of your child’s camp in one payment, you can make payments by using the link on our new electronic system. Simply click the link provided in your confirmation email to make periodic payments. This has been a popular choice by many parents to break the fee down into installments.
As always, if you have any questions about this or have other registration questions, don’t hesitate to ask the Camp Registrar. Contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call 503-802-9213
Camperships (Financial Aid)
Because the people of the Camp & Retreat Ministries are dedicated to providing Christian hospitality and learning to all persons, we believe no one should be turned away from camp due to financial need. The Camp and Retreat Ministry's campership fund is available to families facing financial stress.
For those seeking assistance, application should be made early, as funds are limited. We appreciate those who make this fund possible through their donations.
We also encourage campers or parents to contact a local United Methodist or Episcopal church or other local organizations that may provide assistance to help get children to camp.
Click here to download the Campership Form
If you need financial assistance, print it out, fill it out, and send it in with your registration form.
We certainly want you to come to camp! Ask for special rate plan consideration for your family if you face special circumstances.
If you would like to make a donation to the Campership-Joy Fund which makes it possible for the camping program to provide these camperships, please contact Susan in the Camping Office.
Roommate Requests
A camper, if he or she chooses, may make one roommate request. The request must be mutual, and only one roommate request per camper will be recorded. We will honor roommate requests as space and program requirements allow.
Camper Letters
You will receive a confirmation e-mail once your registration is submitted. Another e-mail with the packet of more detailed camp information will be sent to you 4-6 weeks prior to the start of your event.
A hard copy of the camper packet will be mailed to those who register by mail or fax.
Both the electronic and the hard-copy camper packets include:
- A letter regarding your event with check-in information and a list of what to bring.
- a Health Disclosure Form. (There are separate forms for children/youth and adults. Either form also can be downloaded from the resources page if you need additional copies.) These forms need to be mailed to the camp (not the Conference Center) at least 10 days before camp starts.
- For children's camps, an "About Me" sheet to be returned to the camp with the health form (and it can also be downloaded from the resources page).
- A map with directions to the camp and the camp policies.
And in case you need it, the link to an event's camper packet will be on the website description page for that event (accessed through the calendar) by 4-6 weeks before it begins.
Cancellation Policy
If we should cancel your event, we will help you select another event. If another selection will not work for you, you will receive a full refund. Register early to help avoid cancellations due to low enrollments!
If you cancel your registration to an event, you will receive your money back less $50. Many of our events fill and have waiting lists. The earlier you let us know about cancellations, the more likely it is that another camper can fill the vacancy.
Insurance
Insurance coverage for accidental injury or death and certain illnesses is provided for each camper and is included in the camp fee. Parents are expected to assume responsibility for all medical bills not covered by conference United Methodist or the Episcopal Diocese of Oregon summer camp insurance. There is no deductible.
USDA Policy
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) prohibits discrimination in all USDA programs and activities on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age or disability.
To file a complaint of discrimination, write USDA, Director of Civil Rights, Room 326-W, Whitten Building, 14th and Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, DC 20250-9410 or call (202) 720-5964 (voice and TDD). USDA is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
