Executive Director, Lisa Jean Hoefner

Lisa Jean began work in this Conference in 1998, as the Director of Suttle Lake. She made the move to the Executive Director's position in April, 1999. Prior to this she served as Conference Director of Camp and Retreat Ministries in the Wyoming Conference, and a site Director in the Central Pennsylvania and New York Conferences. She is an ordained pastor who has served churches in New Britain and New Haven, CT, Newark Valley and Chenango Bridge, NY, and has even developed new congregations as part of the camp's ministries in communities in Weikert, PA and Sisters, OR.

Camp Registrar, Geneva Cook

Geneva has camping in her blood. She was raised in the camping program starting with her attendance at Sawtooth family camp when she was 5 months old. Her father was involved on the site committees of all of the Oregon-Idaho camps and often took Geneva along. During summers out of college, she worked as a cook at Sawtooth and Magruder. As Camp Registrar for the Oregon-Idaho Conference, she enjoys helping campers get to camp. She is also a church musician and the mother of 3 children who all love to attend camp.

Camping Office Assistant, Susan Delaney

Susan joined the camping office staff after retiring from teaching at the International High School in Eugene. She works part-time in the camping office, updating this web site and maintaining the volunteer and donor databases, and assisting the registrar with phone calls. Susan was a camp counselor at Suttle Lake in 1965 and always felt she'd get back to working with camping someday!

Alton L. Collins Retreat Center Director, Nanci Hicks

An ordained elder from the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church, Nanci was appointed as director of the Retreat Center in 2005. Nanci works at the
Alton L Collins Retreat Center with her spouse Steve. Nanci and Steve have combined retreat center ministry experience of over 24 years.

Camp Latgawa Directors: Eva LaBonty and Greg Clensy

It is a great delight to announce that after consultations with the Camp Latgawa site ministry team reviewing candidates for the Latgawa director position, we will be welcoming back Eva LaBonty and Greg Clensy to be the Directors at Camp Latgawa.  Greg and Eva have been working in the office and kitchen at the Alton L Collins Retreat Center during this past year.  Their friends in southern Oregon will be glad to have them back!

Camp Magruder Director,  Steven Rumage

Steve comes to Camp Magruder with more than thirty years of camp staff experience, including seventeen years of service as a camp director.  Steve and his wife Melinda are both excited to be returning to the Pacific Northwest where they will be closer to family and they are looking forward to raising their three children, Sean (10), Seth (8), and Kara (5) at Camp Magruder.  Read his letter here:

Camp Sawtooth Director, Dave Hargreaves

Dave and his wife, Karen, have been managing Camp Sawtooth since 1972.. Since Sawtooth Camp is only open in the summer season (although we're pondering the feasability of winter snow camps there), Dave spends most of the year at his home in Caldwell, Idaho where he is a retired Middle School Assistant Principal and Athletic Director.

Suttle Lake Camp Director, Jane Petke

Jane and her husband, Daniel, enjoy serving at Suttle Lake Camp, and exploring the beauty of the surrounding wilderness. They first moved to Suttle Lake in 2000 after serving at Camp Indianola (a United Methodist Camp on the Puget Sound). Jane comes to camping with a background in education and experience in youth ministry. Daniel first started in camping ministry as summer kitchen staff at Silver Creek YMCA Camp. They are the proud parents of two sons, Conner and Kellen.

Wallowa Lake Camp Operation Managers, David and Ingrid Cook

David and Ingrid Cook retired several years ago from being the Directors at Alton L Collins Retreat Center and have joined the staff at Wallowa Lake Camp as Operations Managers. Rev Beth Estock is the Spiritlife Director.
